We have Successfully arranged free movie screening program with 250 SSB Jawans on 30th November 25 at Inox in association with Acropolis mall many members bare the expenses of programme was fantastic, Project chairmen Rtn. Sandeep Ghosal & Rtn. Shiv Shankar Sarkar , Rtn. Ujjal Ghosh is so hard working coordination by all PP is also remarkable. Special thanks to rtn. Sanjay Sharma For conducting the event. we have distributed food items with cold drinks to the officers & jawans.

meeting no. 11 held on 27th December 2025*at Hotel Highland, Sevoke Road, Slg from 8.15 am . The meeting was called to order by Club President Rtn. Jyoti Dey Sarkar & the following discussions were held & decisions taken.We have to take an initiative to join a new member for our club atleast 5 new members. Shiv da will took an initiative to join atleast 2 to 3 members, all the members are requested to introduce new members. One proposal from Rtn. Jyoti Dey Sarkar on 13th Dec 25 for Dr. Mainak Mukherjee (Director Mukherjee Hospital) after no objection we have invited him at SSB Blood Donation Camp, He attend his 1st event , again we have invited him for today’s meeting 2nd time he attended. Another proposal came from Rtn. Sanjay Sharma on 21st Dec 25 for Shri Manoj Agarwal (Distributor , ITC group) after no objection we have invited him at today’s meeting he attend his 1st meeting.

We have taken an action to support our society , from 7th September 2025 Sunday at 11 am we have started a free “HOMEOPATHY CAMP” in association with NAV YUVAK BRIND CLUB with free medicines for needy peoples of this city every Sunday from 9 am to 11 am in association with “NAV YUVAK BRIND CLUB” SANTOSHI Nagar , ward no.5, opposite Khatu Shyam Mandir , burdwan road , siliguri.Chief Guest , Sri Ramniwas Agarwal & Family Sponsorer,Rtn. Sanjay Sharma( MOC ) , Project Chairmen : Rtn. Rajesh Agarwal, Rtn. Govind Mittal & Rtn. Adv. Rajesh Agarwal worked harder to make an event successful.

Bipul Sharma Take The Dias Along With The Dignitaries Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Debabrata Mitra, Former Vice Chancellor of Dakshin Dinajpur University, emphasized the importance of quality education and the role of teachers in achieving it. Guest of Honour, Rtn. Capt. Arnab Saha, Assistant Governor of Zone 6, R.I. Dist. 3240, highlighted the significance of community service and the impact of education on society. Special Guest , Sri Ranjan Sarkar, Honourable Deputy Mayor of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, also graced the occasion, underscoring the municipalitys commitment to supporting education initiatives.

8th INSTALLATION 2025-26

The Rotary Club of Siliguri Metropolitan held its 8th Installation Program for the new term 2025-26 at Hotel Hiland, Siliguri, on July 3, 2025. 37 Rotarians members out of 41 attended the ceremony, taking their solemn oath as member & office bearers. Rtn Jyoti Dey Sarkar (president 25-26), Rtn Bhim Sen Goyal (secretary 25-26), and Rtn Rajesh Kr Agarwal (Treasurer 25-26) were sworn in respectively, for the new term. The programme was graced by esteemed dignitaries from the Rotary fraternity. Subhasish Chatterjee, Past District Governor (PDG) of District 3240, was present to offer his guidance and support. The Chairman of Siliguri Jalpaiguri Development Authority (SJDA), Mr. Dilip Dugar also honoured the occasion with his presence. The Principal of Don Bosco School, Fr. VC Jose delivered an inspiring speech, enthralling the audience and Rotary members. He also administered the oath of office to the new president, Rtn Jyoti Dey Sarkar.

The meeting was called to order by Club President Rtn. Jyoti Dey Sarkar & the following discussions were held & decisions taken. *NEW PROJECTS*: 1. 30th July tree plantation with SSB or forest. Coordination by Rtn. Sanjay Sharma. 2. 100 pcs umbrella distribution program amongst rickshaw wala with sponsorship. 3. Awareness of FIRE SECURITY / EMERGENCY / CPR with govt. & private schools. Rtn. Sandeep Ghosal will coordinate. *HOMEOPATHY CAMP*: Camp should be change as soon as possible. Rtn. Sanjay Sharma contacted with Santoshi Nagar club ward no 5. We will go & check the location if everything is ok then we will sign a MOU. MOU will be preparing by Rtn. Raman Agarwal & Rtn. Adv Rajesh Agarwal. Project Chairmen will coordinate further. For the time being we will stop the camp at ward no 20 after this week.
