We would like to inform you that Rotary Club of Siliguri Metropolitan is the 6th Club in Siliguri under Rotary International. We are regularly involved in providing services to the general public of the society. We are presently running a Free Homeopathic Camp at Bagrakote, near Siliguri Town Station. We had taken up the Vaccination Programs during COVID-19, where we helped around 1000 beneficiaries to get vaccinated. We also took some under privileged children for trips to Kolkata and Guwahati through Air under the project Asha Ki Udaan. We also arranged meeting of underprivileged children with the Hon’ble Governor of the State of West Bengal, Shri Keshri Nath Tripathi ji in Darjeeling and the Hon’ble Governor of the State of Assam at Guwahati. We had also organized Quiz & Debate Competition among the students of various schools named “Rotary Fest”. Some of the other activities which we have undertaken are as follows: - Water Treatment Plant at School - Food Distribution during COVID - Saree distribution among the needy during Durga Puja - Sanitary Napkin distribution among school girls students - Sweets & Fruits distribution among the BSF Jawans - Dustbin distribution at NJP Station, Bagdogra Airport, Commercial Buildings, Temples, Hospitals, etc. We organize a Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament named “Siliguri Cricket League” every year where teams from various social organizations, banks, media, police, etc. participates.
